Description and Requirements

BMC seeks an experienced veteran of Integrated Marketing Programs with experience in Account Based Marketing (ABM), strategic demand generation programs and related tactical campaigns that tie all aspects of marketing into targeted demand efforts that increase opportunity pipeline.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in a senior marketing programs role (both individual contributor and managerial roles) for a software company with program, campaign and demand generation responsibilities for new customer capture and retention, expansion and growth of existing customers. Extensive experience in integrated marketing efforts inclusive of product/solution/vertical industry marketing, and direct and indirect sales is a key requirement. 

This role requires the development, execution and measurement of all marketing programs in conjunction with the BMC Demand Center and Field Marketing counterparts. BMC solutions are targeted at IT Ops, Dev Ops and Line of Business Owners.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Develop, with Solutions Marketing and Regional Marketing Teams, targeted marketing programs and campaigns for specific named accounts and apply ABM process and techniques to increase pipeline with high quality opportunities for both direct and indirect sales teams
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing programs using all forms of traditional and new marketing channels available to reach prospective buyers (practitioners, executives, influencers and all involved in the buying effort) including predictive intent analytics
  • Create impactful “needle moving” marketing campaigns that drive results desired at the MSP level of contribution
  • Collaborate with all constituents in solution marketing, sales, services and partners to design effective programs, in-sync with both BMC corporate and target market launches and related activities
  • Collaborate with the BMC Demand Center for all metrics from the top of the funnel to closed/won: including but not limited to lead scoring, nurturing, hand off to BDR’s, signal analysis and/BMC response, velocity in funnel metrics, conversion metrics
  • Coordinate with content development teams and creative services to develop rich content that drives results in pipeline creation
  • Develops integrated complementary strategies and plans with internal digital brand teams or agencies that develop advertising, banner/display ads and re-target to reach target audiences, including co-branded campaigns with partners
  • Collaborate with and communicate any upcoming programs with BDR teams, direct sales, partners and solution marketing teams prior to launch
  • Understand BMC products and solutions as well as key partner products and services
  • Represent BMC at external and internal marketing/industry events
  • In conjunction with the Demand Center and Field Marketing Teams, track, measure and report on key metrics monthly, quarterly or as needed
  • Write compelling copy for marketing assets in conjunction with the Content team and be willing to add expertise to all forms of external communication to enhance content library for use in demand programs including BDR scripts and talking points
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations to ensure that the targeted list of companies, their buyer unit and overall up to date profiles are kept current and available to all marketing and sales teams
  • Drive new ABM techniques for integrated marketing programs on a consistent basis
  • Understand the competitive environment and put BMC’s most compelling value differentiators into programming design and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or Business related
  • 10-15 years of experience in B2B integrated marketing and sales programs with a results driven approach to pipeline generation
  • Minimum of 10 years in managing marketing programs professionals
  • Demonstrated success in designing and managing worldwide targeted lead generation efforts and funnel management
  • Clear understanding of funnel metrics, ROI, targets and analysis and the ability to effect results across multiple functions within BMC with passionate viewpoints
  • Full complement of marketing channel experience-both traditional and new digital models including predictive techniques
  • Vertical industry programming experience in key targeted verticals including financial services, public sector, telecom, manufacturing, retail and other key verticals 
  • Proficient understanding of database marketing, CRM, marketing automation (Eloqua, SFDC and other marketing automation and analytics tools)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and 1:1 collaboration)
  • Strong analytical skills applicable to target market analysis and funnel management/related KPI’s, forecasting and the ability to adapt strategies and execution tactics as needed
