Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • Respond to and resolve all customer inquiries (via phone, e-mail and web) 
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain clear and concise ticket documentation with all required data and fields 
  • Escalate service requests and issues appropriately 
  • Exercise independent thought within defined procedures and practices
  • Manage priorities and act on factors that create priorities
  • Generate Knowledge Base entries
  • Basic office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) 
  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts. 
  • Remote trouble shooting ability 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for interaction with a global team. 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Core Skills – 
  • Hands-On experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Open-Shift
  • Solving problems related to Docker Containerization 
  • Provide Virtualization Support for Linux, Unix, VMware, and AIX platform.
  • OS Compliance, troubleshoot and patching for Red hat, Cent-OS, Ubuntu and other Linux / Unix Flavors
  • Support and maintain private and public cloud deployment on VM ware environment.
  • Build maintain servers on multiple Unix Flavors. 
  • Hands-On experience with VMware Virtualization and Virtual center
Should Have – 
  • Strong Knowledge & Experience on LINUX OS, patching, VMware Virtualization and Virtual center. 
  • Working knowledge on any CRM tool (Remedy, Snow, other) 
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, normally receiving minimal instruction on day-to-work activities. 
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires thorough evaluation. 
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  
  • Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource and timeline constraints. 
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and influence the outcome.
  • Any Graduate.
  • ITIL, RHCE, AWS, VMWARE, Certification is an added advantage.

Behavioral & Teamwork Competencies
This requirement / position is for Cloud Frontiers team who is responsible to provide Virtualization support on Linux, AIX, Solaris and VMware. Cloud Frontier team is also responsible to maintain and support all power, Spark and x86 Hardware platform, Private and public cloud deployment.
