BMC’s Global Outsourcer and System Integrator (GOSI) business unit serves the world’s largest and most complex GOSI partner accounts. These premier accounts are managed by a team of experienced Strategic Global Account Managers (GAM) with the objective to establish and grow BMC’s footprint through converged approach to both direct and indirect sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities.
  • Deliver and customize technical presentations on BMC products. 
  • Building new presentations for use by Sales and other Solution Engineers. 
  • Demonstrating product capabilities, limitations and implementation. While describing technical tradeoffs and implementation alternatives.
  • Actively participating in sales calls involving complex technical requirements or multiple hardware platforms.
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions to customer requirements. 
  • Focusing on large or complex sales opportunities requiring complex solutions.
  • Writing trial plans for prospective clients; monitor progress of the client in using the product while keeping the account team informed of the trial status.
  • Identifies and resolves technical and business problems with the trial.

To be a successful Solutions Engineer, you’ll need 

  • Significant presales and technical experience in Software is required (Ideally related to comparable BMC products)
  • Demonstrable experience & knowledge of working with Global Outsourcers & System Integrators
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed architectures and designs & communicate to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
  • Experience of Network Fault & Performance Monitoring Tools, Server Fault and Performance Monitoring Tools, Event Management Tool, Infrastructure Discovery Tools, Application Fault & Performance Monitoring Tools, Patching & Provisioning tools, Big Data Analytics Tools & Runbook Automation Tool.
  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
