BU Description:

Business Enablement Group manages the relationship between IT and the business.  BEG routinely elicits requirements, architect solutions, then builds business cases for new business functionality.  They gather requirements and run User Acceptance Testing with the business for approved projects.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

This position is expected to understand, propose, educate, advise, support and implement new business processes through business operations and new systems for BMC customers, partners and employees.

  • Work closely with Business and IT teams to prioritize & deliver efficient maintenance and project activities for Customer & Employee Education, Global Services and Customer Success.
  • Provide strategic advisory, advocacy, alignment & creative solution guidance for internal clients based on thorough understanding of education organization & business model, modern instructional modes & technologies.
  • Understand complex business requirements, document them in standard formats, obtain business user approval and work them seamlessly into the existing framework.
  • Ensure customer success through strong customer service skills and understanding of the customer’s goals and objectives.
  • Using business process engineering techniques, develop technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing global systems or enterprise-wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software products.
  • Respond & resolve business & customer escalations related to critical business process & technology issues & outages – during and outside of normal business hours.
  • Develop wireframes, flowcharts, swim-lanes to detail and explain business workflows.
  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
  • Plan and execute unit, integration and user acceptance testing.
  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
  • Support data conversions; local system rollouts; exercise any required project management and execute all work in alignment with the company's systems & plans.

Experience/ Qualifications:

Must be detailed oriented with a strong work ethic. A strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills, the ability to self-manage, multitask, prioritize, and work across teams is critical.


  • 7 + years of learning technology experience
  • Expert level LMS deployment and management(Cornerstone OnDemand preferred)
  • Familiar with SAML2 SSO authentication and directory services (OKTA, AD, LDAP)
  • Must have deep understanding of SCORM/AICC and course troubleshooting skills (JavaScript, HTML5, Flash)
  • Must have experience with course authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia)
  • Proficient with the principles of instructional design and the ADDIE process
  • Must be able to work with business units at different skill levels across the enterprise and within IT. 
  • Must be experienced with formal IT governance, strict change & SOX control processes
  • Proficient with retail ecommerce web applications, pricing, taxation, transaction processing and revenue reporting
  • Salesforce Admin certification or comparable/demonstrable experience with Salesforce
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, flowcharting tools)
  • Proficient in Rally or other agile management tool
  • Knowledge or experience with back office processes including order management and billing.
  • Travel requirements less than 10%.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • No direct management responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must speak fluent English
