Primary Roles and Responsibilities:   Staff Business Systems Analyst

The IT Business Systems Analyst – Staff for Marketing is responsible for eliciting, capturing, communicating, and validating business requirements across various areas of BMC.  This role is expected to provide facilitation, elicitation and leadership skills for all business stakeholder processes to continuously improve and enhance applications. Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration to be displayed developing and leading workshops, meetings and executive presentations.
The selected candidate must possess an understanding of the overall relationship between the Marketing and IT and could include additional knowledge, but not exclusive to the following such as system integration initiatives, testing, lead system selection processes, user development and training, data conversion support and local system rollouts. 
Desirable - Understanding of key marketing business processes including lead management, campaign management, web content management, digital asset management, creative design, marketing resource management, etc.
Must have experience of current industry software within a technology and command of in-depth terminology. Strong knowledge of Agile applied methodologies and best practices to perform problem solving, planning, and analysis is required. Familiarity with business architecture, system and data modeling and change management strategy. Must be results oriented with prioritization to deliver high quality outcomes within a fast deadline oriented environment.
An understanding of team dynamics and dealing effectively with conflict resolution is required. The candidate must have the ability to apply collaborative problem-solving techniques. Job Duties

Serve as liaison to the business community (Marketing), especially product owners
Coordinate requirements gathering across (Marketing) functions and IT service areas
Work with our business architects to assess current capabilities and identify high-level customer (Marketing) requirements
Analyze existing, and propose new, business process that align with a specific application, solution, or feature set
Work with the project manager, business stakeholders, solution architects, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application
Create and maintain User Stories, UAT Test Cases, and Process Diagrams
Assist QA in translating user stories into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing including UAT Plan

Experience/ Qualifications:

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BSA
2 to 3 years of (Marketing) experience
2 to 3 years of experience with agile methodologies, specifically Scrum
Interpersonal Skills
Comfortable in constantly changing environments, implementing changes without interrupting the flow of business.
Possess the ability to look at problems from the proverbial “50,000 feet” and drill progressively down to the granular details.  
Able to discern the cross-organizational impacts of actions (or inaction) 
Able to quickly build strategic relationships with a great variety of people. 
Possesses excellent communication, facilitation and summarization skills 
Display strong political acumen and emotional intelligence, remain cool in a crisis and manage negotiations toward practical solutions.

General Knowledge
2 to 3 years of experience in business process modeling

Technical Knowledge
2 years of experience in Rally or another Agile Lifecycle Management tool (Jira or Version One is acceptable
Eloqua, SalesForce.com, Jive, web content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager), Search & Promote, Test and Target, marketing resource management, business intelligence, data warehouses, cloud, mobile, etc.
