Description and Requirements

A highly successful and geographically disperse R&D department seeks a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Mainframe team.

In this role, you will:

·         Learn the purpose, features and use cases of the technology to be tested

·         Design and execute test plans for functional, non-functional and user interface validation. Document test results.             

·         Report and track all discovered defects, and validate fixes provided by developers

·         Work with Developers and other Quality Assurance team members for validation of product functionality and defect resolutions, via manual or automated execution of test cases. Work with team members to reproduce complex scenarios.

·         Write test automation scripts using automation framework for system and regression testing.

·         Participates in module design with focus paid to the production of high quality, portable, maintainable and BMC standards compliant software.

·         Interact with a global development team and collaborate with other teams in USA, India and Israel

Required skills:

·         5 years of experience in z/OS as a systems programmer

·         Strong experience with SMP/E, SDSF, JES2/3    

·         Experience in QA strategy planning, test cases creation, execution, defect reporting

·         Experience with MainView product execution and installation is beneficial 

·         Experience with test automation scripting frameworks (UFT, Selemiun, or others), especially validating web interfaces is very beneficial

·         Knowledge of Agile methodology, including ATDD, and Jira is beneficial

·         Good proficiency in English language is required 

·         Position requires the candidate to be a fast learner, good team player with excellent communication skills

·         Bachelor degree in Computer Science
