Description and Requirements

8+ years of experience in IBM z/OS environment as a systems programmer, application programmer and/or DBA. Strong experience in MVS, JCL, REXX, VSAM, CICS, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF. Strong experience in at least one DBMS (IMS/DB2). Experience in IMS DB, z/OS Internals, SMP/E is beneficial . 

Contributing member of the Quality Assurance team responsible for testing and quality assurance of software products. The role requires some knowledge of product domain, the software development life cycle and the processes involved in product Quality Assurance and system maintenance. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Reviews test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Creatively solves complex tasks by applying judgement to select the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Accurately estimates the size and scope of the Quality Assurance projects. Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies. Clear understanding of systems required for testing and product installation. Collaborates well with other departments to achieve best results for company and customers. Plans and completes assignments independently with little supervision. Ability to develop and execute workloads to drive various use cases. Ability to perform problem root cause analysis, included system resource constraints. Experience in QA principles, including test planning, test cases creation, execution, test results documentation & defect reporting.
